Deacon Nominations

Dear Headwaters Church Member: 

It is nomination time for our Deacons. You can submit this form online, or place it in the wooden ‘voting boxes’ at the Welcome Center, in Room 308 on the third floor, or return to the church office by September 6th. Throughout the Lord’s Day on October 18th and October 25th, church members will be asked to confirm the appointments. 

Below in the PDF you will find a listing of eligible/available church members for these positions. Names of Elders, Ministerial Staff, and active deacons with terms of service extending beyond 2026 have been marked out on the list.

Deacon Qualifications:
New Testament qualifications for Deacons drawn from I Timothy 3:8-12.
To the best of your knowledge/ability, consider nominating men who have consistently exhibited the following personal attributes:
 
•  Is well respected/dignified.
•  Has integrity/credibility.
•  Is not under the influence of alcohol or other controlling substances
•  Is not greedy or dishonest with money.
•  Is committed to the faith, behaving as holding true to the gospel.
•  Is examined and found blameless in overall character.
•  If married, wife is of similarly godly, faithful character.
•  Is a one-woman man.
•  If married and/or has children, is spiritual leader of family.

Please nominate up to eight (8) men from the list of eligible Headwaters Church members on Church Center for a three (3) year Deacon term. (Please review qualifications for Deacons above).
