IMPORTANT: You will have 15 minutes to complete your registration and then it will time out. Please plan accordingly. You may need to take time to read the questions, think through your answers and then come back to register and submit your responses.

Thank you for your interest in joining a Growth Group! Please carefully read the information below to ensure a clear understanding of Growth Groups and the required commitment before registering.

MISSION STATEMENT: Growth Groups (GGs) are designed to help the women of Headwaters Church live out the calling of Philippians 1:27: “Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ…standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel.” GGs work toward this calling by gathering women monthly in small groups with the purpose of fellowship around the Word and encouragement to pursue wholehearted love and devotion to Jesus Christ. As sisters in Christ seek personal accountability and speak the truth in love to one another, the prayer is the “we will grow up in every way into…Christ.” (Eph. 4:15)

REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE:

  • Must be a woman who is a member or regular attender of Headwaters church.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age. 
  • Must read and understand this page and then complete the registration process, ensuring all questions have been answered. Groups will be formed by GG leadership after the registration deadline. If we have a question, we may reach out.

HOW DO GROWTH GROUPS WORK?

  • GGs are intergenerational small groups, guided by a leader, that meet 1x a month (Sept-May) for 2 hours, with the goal of all participants being at every meeting. 
  • GGs meet in the home of the group leader or a participant. In order to provide a distraction-free and confidential environment, it is requested that children and guests not attend under any circumstance. If you have allergies (like pet allergies) that affect location, please indicate when you register. 
  • Special GGs may be formed to accommodate: 
    • Those with serious health concerns that cannot meet in person.
    • Moms that need to bring a nursing child (6 months or younger).
  • GGs will all use the same book. Book cost is $10.  
  • GGs are created for the purpose of biblical fellowship and encouragement to pursue wholehearted love and devotion to the Lord.
  • GGs are designed to encourage candid discussions centered on God’s Word, Christ’s sufficiency, and viewing all of life through the lens of Scripture. 
  • GGs are intended to foster transparency, accountability, growth in Christlikeness, and mutual spiritual care among Headwaters women -- all in a safe and confidential environment. 

WHAT DOES MY COMMITMENT INVOLVE?

  • Participating in the assigned GG for the entire Sept - May cycle by prioritizing and attending ALL meetings. 
  • Coming to each meeting ready to participate by having all assigned material read and completed.
  • Upholding an environment of confidentiality by keeping what is said in GGs within the group.
  • Remembering to speak the truth in love in coming alongside one another and focusing discussions on the truths of Scripture and how they can be applied to all aspects of life.
